Thanks crappie. I'm pretty handy and have been thinking about a diy setup. Just don't want it to look too diy if you know what I mean

I made a "diy" one. From an aesthetics standpoint, it doesn't look as good. Made it out of black iron, if I remember correctly. Painted it Black.
It works. Not as good as the professional ones though. Doesn't have the adjustment range.
I can get some pics if you want.

I have had two 17.5 foot Trackers and I loved them.

I riveted the arms to the tees to keep them from rotating. To mount the rod holders, u-bolts with a wing nut on one side, to be able to rotate the holder, tool free.
Pool noodle float to hook jigs/cranks. Floor flanges screwed to the floor. This way you simply unscrew the whole thing, it's out of the way.
Is it perfect? Nope. Get the job done? Yep.
It would be better if the threads on the floor flanges where taller, then you could get a pin of some sort in it, keep it from rotating when you get snagged.
Look up diy spider rigging, or something like that. There are some people that have made them out of PVC also.
I had most of the fittings on hand, if you decide to go this route, price everything first. Fittings aren't cheap.

If you like them, shoot me a price. I haven't used them in a while. Into bass fishing now, and trolling wasn't for me. I could get a price for shipping.

Where did you get the black floor mats in your boat? I'll bet they would really help with the heat on uncarpeted aluminum boats.

Menard's. I don't fish barefooted. They do however, help A LOT with relieving sore feet and back issues. The downsides - as you mentioned, heat. And they're heavy.
