Guest Suggestions for Brushpile Fishing TV

I think Russ is looking more for potential "guests" than changing the format of his shows. (remember - his sponsors pay the bills, not the viewing public)

But, that being said ... how about lining up the top two gewbers (Slab, Billbob) at one of the many Crappie Camps/Events and shoot the show there ?? He & his crew would get royal treatment, great food, and show the Crappie angling world what we're all about. Depending on how his schedule lines up with the event, and which lake it's on, he might even get in on catching some good fish. And it may even get him some more sponsors

No argument, just poor choice of words on my part. Russ has the best crappie fishing show on cable. His current fishing shows (not his seminar shows) have about 70% catching fish (entertainment) and 30% education. I would like to see a balance of 50 / 50 of entertainment v/s education. Seeing Russ, or his guest, pull out another "nice one" a good "11 or 12" fish does not even entertain me. I like seeing the use of what he has explained, and the bigger fish.

If Russ had a video, with one of the better known tournament guests, or guide guests, and spent 50% (or less) fishing, and 50% (or more) classroom teaching, with closeups of jigs, rigs, baits, screenshots of electronics, lake maps, etc, I bet no one would turn it off.

I think Russ is on point with the way his shows are structured. I'd rather see more fish catching. It would be hard to explain all the details in one show. That is what seminars are for. Maybe we can get Russ to do more seminars around the country when he's not fishing or post the different seminars on his website. I think attendance would be thru the roof!

Well I have never fished any of those lakes and probably wouldn't be much help, BUT I would love to be a guest on your show, and I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express!!
