I’ve been using an Ego Slider for 10 years. It is sloped at front also. Using 2# test I net everything. I have a much lighter kayak net for fish such as Gills and crappie. When I bank fish for crappie though the Ego goes with me so I can extend the reach. I catch a lot of Smallies and always use the Ego net on them. The cons to it is the weight. If someone is in the boat with me if I get a big fish on they can net it for me.....but trying to handle that net and a rod.....all I do is cast......is hard. A big plus is their customer service. My net was way past warranty when the slide mechanism quit working. I called them to see how to take the handle apart and they asked me why I wanted to do that and when I told them they overnighted me a new handle no cost to me. When those nets first came out the slide mechanism failed a lot. They fixed that problem and the handle on my net is now 5 years old...or more and is still working great.....but as I said they are heavy. I would like a lighter net that can handle the 20 pounds extended as the Ego can......will be following this thread for some info.

    Regards

If you are talking about the CM net, with the hoop off it is still almost 6 foot long.

I just got my Jenko in the mail yesterday. Used a discount code that was posted on the site. First long net I have ever bought. It is very light in weight. We will have to see how fragile it is when put to use.

He misstated, flat fact and I will tell him to his face. I have pics somewhere of when I tested it, a 3.5 brick is a lot of pressure on this net fully extended, CM barely bent over any, will look for the pics.
Don't get me wrong, I hope you are happy with your purchase but you better not lift no 8 lb cat in the boat with it, flat fact. I had one I picked up for a buddy and tested the 2.
