Since I found out I'm a diabetic Ive eaten baked fish prepared a few different ways but I'm here to tell it that it just aint like fried! After mealing the fish I'll try shaking off as much breading as possible (also on a calorie diet (per Dr's orders) but I'm gonna have me some fried fish soon.

Yes please keep this thread updated. I could stand to lose 10 lbs, or 75 lbs. If that thing works good and makes pretty good fish and/or chicken I'd buy one.

We just threw some skinless polish sausage in the air fryer of which we normally steam, , and it came out just like you would grill it. This morning I did sausage links for breakfast. No mess, easy clean up, way easier than stove cooking. And darn good eating. Chicken and Cornish hens come out great also.

I have read unlimited posts on these things, but it seems folks are scared to try it on some crappie fillets. Will someone please sacrifice a few fillets to the cause??

An "air fryer" and a convection oven are essentially the same in principle. Hot air is blown around in a chamber to create even heating. Air fryers have smaller chambers and higher speed air circulation than a convection oven. They are similar, but different in the way they work. All said and done, you're baking your fish, just faster.
