I have a very old 5000C (the one without a centrifugal brake - not very good for casting) that I use when trolling. I do not troll multiple rods, just drag a lure when I am moving from one place to another close enough I don't want to fire up the outboard. One nice thing about it is that regardless of what I happen to pick up the reel is up to the task. A few drums have taken an interest in the Little George I usually have tied on and while my one trolling rod is kinda wimpy, the reel sure is not.
