I caught these 5 Fish in 1 1/2 hrs fishing in a central illinois Lake, last Friday 03-25-2017. When I fillet them I found these wormy looking things, in the meaty flesh of 2 of the fish. anyone ever seen anything like this, what are they? are the fish safe to eat?

No, but you can PM me for my address. I will get rid of them for you!
Just cut the area around the parasite out when dressing them and they will be fine to eat when fully cooked. I'll guarantee you most all of us here who have eaten crappie have swallowed one or more of those with no idea they were there.
