I am sold on RTIC. I bought a 45, 2 years ago and it's been a great investment. I use it a lot. The only thing that might wear out is the rubber latches and they are cheap to replace.

I have replaced hinges with a hardware store piano hinge on several ice chest and had them last 10 years or better. I have 1 expensive ice chest. It is a Coleman 200 quart extreme that I take to hunting camp and also use for processing wild game. I have had as many as 3 quartered wild pigs in it weighing 200 lbs each on the hoof, the pigs were quartered before going in the ice chest. I have had ice last for up to 15 days in it with weather not much over 70*. It is heavy so I don't take it fishing I use one of the lighter ones that I have already replaced the hinge on. I did cringe over the cost of the 200 quart but I do my own processing so it was necessary.

I have Cordova Coolers, I think they are better than a Yeti, they are made in the USA, Lifetime Guarantee. Keeps Ice for days. There small one is a little bigger than the Yeti 45. I purchased all three sizes and got rid of all my other coolers. Lifetime Guarantee I should hopefully be done.
400 Bad Request
I have a Yeti and 3 of the older extreme silver coolers. One has a double lid and the latch broke on one, never replaced. I think the label said extreme 5. For a 5 to 7 day trip they have a block of ice and frozen food. One has a block of ice, drinks and stuff for the frig when we get it set up. Coolers are labeled so we don't have to dig through the wrong one. Have to start buying ice on the 4th day. The Yeti still has a small piece of the block in it when we get home.
My son has a larger silver/blue extreme, think it said extreme 8. Food and drinks are kept in it. He starts buying ice the 2nd day. He doesn't start with block ice.
We have a few bulk ice machines around here, 16 lb bag or 20 lb loose for $2. At one campground a 7 lb bag is $2.50. The nearest store is 0.95 for a 7 lb bag and a 14 mile round trip. We carry an empty cooler with us when we go out of the campground.
RTIC and YETI coolers are basically the same, with few differences. It looks like RTIC copied Yeti which is probably why they were in a lawsuit together.

I have a couple polar brand soft sided coolers and a couple high end hard side coolers. Also have a cheap Coleman I use for a live well. I did see that "Lifetime", the company that makes tables and chairs is making coolers. They look nice. Walmart has them and they are about 1/3 the price of yeti, although I'm not sure how well they keep ice.
For some eye opening videos, go to Youtube and search for "Yeti VS" and you will get a litany of videos of folks comparing Yetis to a whole list of other brands: RTIC, Orca, Pelican and a host of others.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
Get on YouTube and type in "cooler hacks". It might solve some issues.
Drinkin coffee, missin fish.
They are all made by China and copied. Buy the cheapest price one you can find on the net as they all work just great. Some have a lot of bells and whistles if your into that also.
