I have a HELIX 9 G2N and love it. Wished I would have bought a bigger screen. I have mine mounted at the console and use it to find structure and fish; the latter is hard to see on structure. It shines a finding brushpiles, laydowns, and ledges - very clear images. I see suspended bait balls and schools of fish easy enough in SI an DI although I have a hard time distinguishing between the two.

I have a 859DI unit at the bow.

I have a gen 1 9 DI on the bow. My opinion is it does fine. I am usually using it to vertical jig brush in 10 to 20 feet. A bigger screen would help with the gps and DI but I hope to designate more funds to upgrading my 899 SI at the console to a Helix 10 gen 2.

I would say the Helix 10. Great size screen, and better resolution (sharper picture/details) than the 9. I'm planning on switching over to Humminbird next year. That Helix 10 Mega is calling my name

I have the Helix 9 G2N mega chirp on the dash and the helix 10 at the helm. After being out 2 different times now I wish I would have went with the 10 on the dash also. More pixels easier to see more definition. Just my opinion.
