Only because walleye season is closed. I used to fish crappie heavy now it's just a spanner fish between ice out and opening day of walleye.

concentrating on catching crappie is like meditation it clears your mind of all your stresses and you end up relaxed . sometimes you even catch a great tasting fish.

When my son was little we got into a creek stacked up with crappie, while white bass fishing. And haven't let up since that day.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I hunt and fish cause it's what I've been doing since I was a kid and the only activity that still holds my interest as an adult. Every time I catch a fish or harvest an animal I get the same excitement and pride from it the same now at age 38 as I did when I was 8. Plus, I'm too big to play pee wee football now, so the coach says
