I ended up outfitting all 8 14ft poles, with Southerncrappies sidewinders, there inexpensive and all 8 poles lay nicely on my pt175 deck. Only time i miss a ratio reel is when they pull a lot of drag out.

I use the mr crappie in-line reels. I’ve never spider rigged deeper than 20 feet so I don’t have to reel very often. When you do get a big catfish or carp it gets pretty interesting lol

I use low profile casting reels, they work fine and it is easy to adjust the line depth. Spinning reels are ok but a pain with the long handles to store. I use the ice reels for my single jig poles.

I have the reels from Ed at Southern Crappie, I ended up putting high vis on also to a swivel. I had fun last spring during the spawn with them.
