....to all the fine wives and significant others on this wonderful day of celebration of the heart. For my lovely lady, I just picked up two large filet minions, an sale today at Big-Y. Then took a ride over to Big Ed's (a local grocery store) for a sale on fresh asparagus. Got a french bread and a chilling bottle of Labrusco to top everything off.
Going to plop those 2"+ thick steaks on my almost red hot cast iron grill pan for 3 1/2 min.....then pan & all go into the 475 pre-heated oven for 8 minutes. Remove to a warmed plate, cover and let rest for about 5 min., while I pour the wine. They will always come out just fantastic doing it this way. Ruth Chris....eat your heart out! LOL!
