I use the slim Plano boxes 3701 or 3601 for most of my tackle.
3 of the slims fit in the same space as 2 of the standard 3700/3600 boxes.
Less empty space, rom for more tackle.
Will the 3601 hold crank baits?
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

Yeah I'm hooked, especially not being able to fish right now! Everything adds up quickly so it might be a slower process than I think

Thank you for all the good ideas. You know how it is when you go on line, check something out which leads you some where and then some where else. Found lots of good things. I'm looking hard at the new Plano Guide Series 3700. Thanks again! This will also lead to major realignment of other tackle and lures in storage systems I have and storage areas on the boat. This will be an on going project for any above freezing days here in Penna.!!!

I recently got a similar/smaller version from bass pro but is quickly filling up. I'm thinking of getting a bunch of smaller boxes to see if I can fit more lures.
I know this is an older post but how does the color hold up. I’ve been using a similar storage system but after looking at some baits when I started restocking there is a lot of difference in the chartreuse color on my baits. I didn’t know if it was something I was doing or because there out of there original package.

I am almost 60 years old and have been collecting fishing stuff all my life and I could no way take all my gear when going fishing. The best advise I got on this subject was to simplify and create a day box/bag. It is really difficult at first because you keep telling yourself but what if I need this. Then I realized even when I was bringing 3 tackle bags I would still always fish the same way all the time and would end up using the same favorite baits I always did. So bringing all of that stuff was just for piece of mind knowing I had it just in case. So now I bring it with me but leave it in the truck and carry a bag with all the things I usually use in the boat and I never find myself saying "oh I wish I had that but it's back in the truck". It's comes down to planning for the day.

Same here, plan for the day and hope you bring what works.
I refer to a good "Gotcha" lure as "The pretty girl at closing time".
