    in this here river photo ? My trusty side imaging on my truck made me lock up the brakes I tell ya ......

    River? Looks like the backside of a levy to me, with limestone rocks staked up to ease the erosion off the embankment.

    Several places in Louisiana have the same, and on occasion, are good fishing spots.

    it is actually several large schools of shad on the surface and that is the west fork of the Trinity river . Don't be deceived by the serenity and small creek look , she is a beast when they let her go ...she was running full tilt about half way up that levee in the spring this year ....lost a couple of young anglers in there that slipped in close to one of the many spillways along it this spring
