    All I can say is, I've caught several fish while laying my poles out and before I put the bait on. I don't know that it makes
    much difference but I know it's not hurting anything. I am partial to red 1/0 sickles.

    So I found that a TruTurn style bend in a hook blank (214EL in this case) allows dipping the hook shank in powder paint ... without getting paint on the eye ... nor on the barb ...

    Therefore allowing experimenting with different colors on minnow hooks ... besides the standard red or gold ...

    (And still have the "bend ability" of the 214EL bronze) ...

    I use them more then the gold now.Maybe a confidence thing,But they work.

    I'm betting those colors will stay on longer than the "painted" commercial ones. I've seen them in red & chartreuse, but not "orange" ... you may be on to something there, Rickie !!
