Default Crankbait's with rubber hook quards, How to remove!

I just got in some crankbaits with rubber tubing covering the point and barb. How do you remove this?? The barb keeps the tubing from coming off. A real pain, any ideas, would be appreciated.

A good sharp knife and a pair of long needle nose pliers to hold on to the hook while cutting it off. Just be careful all those treble hooks are sharp.
Be safe and good luck fishing

I have had luck spinning the rubber and pulling in that situation.

This is best method. Place your thumb and index finger on each side of the plastic sleeve next to the barb and slowly pull while applying pressure with the thumb and finger and twisting the tube in between your finger and thumb. If it hangs push it on a bit twisting it and then go back to pulling while twisting until it is off.
