Nope not me
I use them when trolling crankbaits, or sometimes I'll use a fluorocarbon leader when trolling jigs, but usually not
I use braid , bead , swivel, leader. Several reasons , bead and swivel show up nice on livescope ,
Keeps the grandkids from reeling the fish up to the rod tip. I find I get lots of bites with the bead just above brushpile , and the jig
about 3 ft under.

I use barrel swivels on pre-made 3 jig dropshot rigs. Then I stuff the rig in a small zip lock envelope. When I'm fishing I can quickly add easily change rigs without any hassle.

Every time I drop a crankbait over the side, it will always have a #10 snap swivel ahead of the crank. It’s nothing to do with quick changes. It has everything to do with line twist on mono, flouro, or braid K9 line.

I run swivels between braid (15lb.) and a flurocarbon leader with a coastlock snap at the other end when pulling cranks or roadrunners. I keep pre-made leaders wrapped around small empty pill bottles, so if I need to replace or increase/decrease line test, it's quick and easy. The swivel helps fight line twist and it's easier for me to tie a palomar to connect the leader to the braid than tie an FG knot on the water.

Snap swivels only when pulling cranks. Barrel swivel between braid and leader when sniping with single pole.
