Is there a certain kind that is needed for a boat? Or a certain size? Thanks

I think it has to be A,B,C. I carry a small one without the gauge and a larger one with a gauge. My large one is probably 4 inches in diameter and 16 inches tall. I don't remember what size it is rated.

It varies from state to state. Here in MA, any boat 16' long or greater, requires a Coast Guard Approved fire extinguisher. Not required for any craft of shorter length.
