Default COLD but good day (pictures)

The great weather man said it would be light winds so we chose to fish Wilson Lake. He was wrong, with winds high and tempertures low we were able to pull some nice fish to the boat today. All our fish were caught on YUM tubes and Kentucky Rigs. If you have not seen the new YUM tube in the glow color go to www.lurenet.com and check this out. Of course the rods were B'n'M rods with Sliver Thread 10lb line. I had a great time and only hopes it gets better!

I agree........the 5-10mph winds ended up being more like 10-15mph and what was supposed to be a high of around 50 ended up feeling more like around 40. I fished over at Guntersville and ended up catching a bunch of stripes and a big drum. Only saw one crappie caught under the bridge I was tied to.

Do you ever fish up around Town Creek? I'm thinking the Hog Island area could be a good place to fish for some crappie right now.

By the way I saw your mug shot in the current Crappie magazine.

Default Yes I fish Town Creek

That end of the lake gets very little pressue. There are a number of ditches and small creek bends that hold fish this time of year. That article in Crappie World those were some the biggest crappie I caught last year. Those fish were over 3 pounds and were caught out at Jimmy Houston house last May.

those are some healthy looking critters. Probably full of shad when you cleaned'em. Good pictures.
