Default Another silent auction for same cause

We're going to do another silent auction for the same cause as before, for one of our members in need. This one is sponsored by one of our very generous members. Thank you so much.

Please PM me your bids and I will announce the current high bid as time is available. Ends Monday night. 8/31/2015.

14" Overall length Camillus Western U.S.A. custom handled fillet knife. 9" actual blade cut length. English Walnut handle, infused with acrylic for extra durability. Blade and handle hand-polished to 1200 grit, then buffed.

normally these would sell for anywhere from 70 to 120 dollars, i would say this one is about middle of the road, in that 100 neighborhood. beautiful grain. i have around 15 hours in it.

Size: 64.3 KBthe handles are infused with clear acrylic plastic that was dissolved with acetone until it reached the consistency of water. i then put the wood in a vacuum chamber i made out of a couple gallon olive jars with the dissolved acrylic, and put it under vacuum for days, if not weeks.(i had some handle scales already made up that i used for this knife) the vacuum causes the acrylic/acetone mixture to follow the vascular system of the tree and it flows out the top of the piece of wood. when removed from the vacuum chamber, the acetone flash-evaporates at the ambient room temp, leaving the clear acrylic trapped inside the wood. this stabilizes it, and also adds to the durability. by doing it this way, i dont have to use stain or varnish, just sand it to 1200 and buff...and there will be no finish to flake off.

PLUS, yes PLUS, all the following:

5 assorted panfish kits with 1 1/2 inch minnows and 1 /24th oz jigs. 2 bags of 10 of my blue perch, 1 with gold eyes and 1 with silver, and a package of 18 1/24th oz jigs.
