I am in ocean navigable waterways, so any light turned on after dark must be red so I can maintain my night vision for seeing channel markers and other landmarks. No white lights allowed on my boats after dark at all.

Maybe a head lamp would take care of most of your needs?

My candle burns at both ends; it will not last the night. But ah my foes, and oh my friends - it gives a lovely light.

I got my LED strip lights on Amazon. You can get a 15 meter strip of any color or multi color for under 20 bucks. I went with the SUPERNIGHT brand
There's literally thousands to choose from.
You can cut them to any length you need providing you know how to solder, or they make clips that will make the electrical connections.
You'll most likely want to make sure you get water proof strips.
The RGB strips you can select any color you want either by hard wiring a single color of getting a controller with a wireless remote to change.
They even have controllers that will alter the lights to sound.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord show you his kindness and have mercy on you.
May the Lord watch over you and give you peace.
