Default Going to Ky Lk this weekend. Need some help.

I am going to be on Ky Lk Saturday and Sunday at Big Sandy with all the other million crappie Fisherman in April. Weather will be great for boating but maybe not for fishing. It is suppose to be high pressure , bright sunshine and 5-8mph winds out of the east (bummer). I plan on spider rigging with minnows and jigs. If that don't work, will try long lining through all the boats. I doubt that the crappie will be shallow like we hoped. Any suggestions on what to do with these kind of conditions ? Thanks

Just go and have fun. You never know when even what seems the worst time to fish can be the best trip you ever had. A bad day fishing is better than not getting to go in my books. Sounds like you have a good game plan already spidering and a backup plan long lining. You never know when the fish will bite. Good luck
Be safe and good luck fishing

I think if the fish have been up in shallow water recently, they won't pull back too far when high pressure comes in. So if the plans you have don't work for you, try some very slow retrieves casting up about 10' from bank and reeling back to the boat. Try bobber/jig combo around the first break line away from the bank, with the jig about 3' below the bobber

Caught ours in 6 to 8 fow today in west Sandy spider rigging jigs. They were liking pink combos tipped with nibbles. Didn't load the boat, but we did catch some nice ones.

Caught a few this weekend. Had 10 on Saturday and about 20 on Sunday morning. Saturday's 10 fish was a real struggle all day but almost all of them where really nice size fish. Sunday morning was easy. It was cloudy and very light wind and the fish where biting until about 10:30 on spider rig. Did catch a few on jig under a bobber too as was suggested above. Thanks.
