    Default Cold Front Question

I posted this in my state forum, but I need all the advice I can get...I'm trying to make a decision on a 2 hr drive......We're having a major cold front come in on Thursday this week. Wed is supposed to be 58f and calm wind. Will the crappie want to feed before this pressure? My vote is YES!!! What would ya'll do?

My vote would be yes also. Even a bad day fishing is better than nothing,or doing honey do's all day long. Go for it them big crappie may be waiting on you.Best of luck and be safe.

The crappie in our area is Pre spawn.Water temp 46 deg. Fished last tue and wed water temp was 41 they wanted a black/chart tube in the morning setting right in front of their face dead still. in the evening they wanted a orange/chart tube setting still right in their face to bite. Monday the water temp was 46 deg wind out of the north with falling temps all day.Fished same lake as tue and wed fish would not hit jig setting still had to bump the brush or stump. Black/chart in the morning,orange/chart arkie 2 in salty tubes,1/24 oz jig head.Name: 0204151726-00.jpg

99.9% of the time - You won't catch 'em from the recliner at home... If you're in the other .1% you and I cannot be friends.

My experience is usually the bite is little better before the cold front and when the wind cycles back out of the south after the cold front. There are always exceptions and "you never know till you go" enjoy the trip.
