I am always too busy fishing to try it for the last three times I have been out with my new trolling motor. I need to leave the rods at home and learn to use the Terrova. I also need to throw away the foot control. LOL It just gets in the way. Never use it even though I have had a foot control trolling motor for last 25 years. Hard for me to believe but I like the remote.
Same here. I was afraid not to get the foot control and I've never used it in 3 years. Nice not having the pedal and cable in the way.

Boat is 19ft6in, I use 6lb most of the time go 4lb on two rods in winter to go deep. I let out about 30yrds on my longest reel and shorten from there. Jig head weight is 1/16 mostly with a few 1/32. Spring you can go a lot lighter jig.

Wow would've never guessed that light. We side pull two 1/4 oz hair jigs at .8 mph 1half times the depth of water to ride foot from bottom. 20ft water 30ft line January-march then after spawn may-june. I'm excited to get new boat like yours and long line.

While you are recording a track with the trolling motor deployed, but not in the water, do you have the prop turning?

To set my rods up to know how far apart the lines would run in the water I got outside on a non windy day put weight on the line and open the bell and let enough lime out to almost touch the ground then you can set your rod holders the lines will follow at that distance in the water I try to keep my front ones 3 ft apart and back ones 30 inches . I start out at .8 on speed and go from there. At .8 I can long line and spider rig at the same time since my buddy likes long lining and I like rigging. Usually at .8 a 1/16 ounce jig will get about 7 to 8 ft deep.
