Yamamoto 2 grubs are nice. They are much cheaper than the 3 inch. N have a nice fat body through out the length of the grub.
But thy are hard to find.

As far as plastics I basically have 2 choices in my boat, Crazy Angler (mostly slab bandits) and Souther Pro Hot Grubs. And if my dad is with me, we will have a selection of Sliders. We can usually catch enough fish choosing from these 3 plastics to get us by....

Other than that we run Bandit, Rebel, and Arkie crankbaits in the summer.

My plastic trays are filled with way too many colors of Bobby Garland Baby Shads, Bass Pro Squirmin' Squirt hollow tubes, Lake Fork Baby Shads, Leland Lures Crappie Magnets, Slab Bandits, and one of my all time favorites Berkley Power Nymphs. They all work but I seem to favor the tubes and the BG shads. Power Nymphs work on almost any fish and there are days I kill the trout with them, the pearl olive shad and toad colors are what I usually use. I know I have some CB sliders and some curly tail grubs but I don't really use them much. Bottom line, I have way too many choices and I always seem to second guess myself when fishing is slow.

Did not say what Southern Pro you got but can't beat the 2'' Umbrella Tubes and 2.5'' Caps and Coleman tubes in glow colors!

plastics designed for hard water, for when no one else is having any luck, try microspoons. and their crappie designed lures especially for clear water.

You will find they last longer than other soft plastics, most a lot longer.
