    Default Anyone used UV grubs?

I see that cabelas has tightlines uv crappie grubs on their site and they claim crappie can see them 80% better? Any of you guys had any experience with them? I am looking for an edge while night fishing... Not sure if these are worth it or not at 5.99 per 10... What do you guys think?

I just bought some UV jig head powder paint I want to try as well. I painted a few jigs with glow in the dark powder paint and used glow in the dark Bobby Garland baby shad and I was catching them easily during night time. I will let you know how the UV paint works as well when I try them out. I know it's not UV grub but I am hoping it helps.

The last step in powder painting of all my crappie and bass jigs and spoons is a dip in UV Blast. I believe it makes a difference and it certainly helps my confidence level.

Tried some pink-chartreuse uv crappie grubs yesterday. Had real good luck with them. I caught twenty fish, my friends caught four - using other grubs. There must be something to this uv stuff, it worked for me.

If I am not mistaken, one needs uv light (i.e. sunlight) to activate the special visibility properties of the uv grubs and jigs. If you are looking for something to use night fishing, I would think that the glow jigs and grubs would be more visible to the fish.

I just make mine myself. They are great for pre dawn fishing. The best powders are glow green and glow blue. Here is the post. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showt...the-dark-lures

Bugtussle they have UV flashlights that store in your tacklebox to activate the glow in dark lures. c.com sells them also. http://www.crappiewear.com/Crappieco...ight_p_18.html It is part number 118
