I agree and told him the left hand is what I use in spinning gear anyway so I am happy just like it is. My question he answered by saying just tighten the drag until your happy with the tension. I need to try it, but not sure it will be this summer, because after summer I will be long lining again and in spring same thing. However I do hope to get in one more night trip which will be my chance to try these reels out.

Received my two solos today and they came with instruction on how too change from left to right. Must not have been in the first bunch that grizzly sold.

Just an FYI if anyone wants to check their reel before trying to switch from righty to lefty...

The instructions were included with my reel, the issue was the hardware didn't match the instructions.

Steps 1 thru 3 get you here, minus the bearings sitting there, of course -

Step 4 says to remove one-way clutch bearing. Looks like mine was missing a sleeve that keeps the bearings in place when the clutch assembly is removed. Anyway, when I removed the clutch assembly, all the bearings just fell out.

Alls well that ends well. Wally already has a replacement on the way.

I'm having a hard time getting my hands on a couple of these reels. Anyone know when more can be expected to be produced or maybe of another company that sells them besides Grizzly?
