Strange gel on boat?

This may be old news for everyone here, but it was a shock to me. After a decent rain last week I went outside and glanced over at my boat, and it was covered with marble size globs of clear gel. Well I immediatly thought it was something that came down in the rain, but figured out that it wasn't. I am almost positive this is "rehydrated" bug guts that covered my boat about a week earlier night fishing. That is the only thing I can come up with. Many of the globs even correspond with splatters. I know, I am a little too easily entertained. I am going to try to post a pic of it.

Looks like snail or slug eggs. Any slimy trails on the boat?

None, and it was on nothing else.
