    Default How about a pumpkinseed?

    They also have a touch of red on their gill plates.

    I don't know that I've ever caught a redear here in Ohio. I've always thought of them as a Southern species.

    If you don't squeeze them so hard they'll weigh more, LOL.

    Yeah, I've not paid too much attention of what species does what but I've had many a client comment on what the fish is doing. I've had many a bream pee everywhere and other species (mostly bass and catfish) poop all over my boat. Needless to say, I still think it's okay to eat a cracker dropped on the deck of my boat. LOL.

    Ain't nothing I love better to do than to make a big blue gill pee on somebody. This is how my son and I initiate his girlfreinds. I (or he) will act like we are going to educate the girl with a caught 'gill. A slight squeeze will get it to peeing on their leg. It's a hoot.
