I've had mine (Terrova, 36V, 101 lb. thrust) for two years now and I can guarantee it WILL NOT keep you in a ten foot radius or a 20 foot radius. It has to get "X" amount of distance away from anchor position before it will recognize it's off position and then it will correct and usually coast (overrun) past original position. But it has so many other features, it's like having a partner in your boat, like Rees Guide said. Wouldn't want to use any other now.

on the gusty days that the spot lock doesnt work so great. it still does better then i do when trying to put fish in live well (back of boat), lets me untagle rods and still in roughly the same spot when i am done. Dont use the spot lock when i am verticle jigging inside the brush, but i sure hit it while i land the fish to keep me close. the track feature is nice once you get it programmed, but again I live in kansas and we have some strong wind gust so its not perfect, but atleast close enough i can fish vs drive. yes it can yank you around some times in the cross winds if your not ready for it. kinda like that fishing partner does when you not ready for it.
