Default Favorite minnow hook and size?

What is your favorite type/brand and size hook for minnow fishing? I came across some Gamakatsu "shiner" hooks in academy and am debating on whether or not to try them. In the past I have used Aberdeen hooks only, but am all for better tackle if it worth the extra $$$.

I have been using an Eagle claw gold aberdeen since I was old enough to bait a hook. #1 - 1/0 - 2/0 mostly. Unfortunately, I hear Eagle claw is only making them in light wire now.... not happy at all!

    Feelay,
That is exactly what I have been using, except the biggest was #1. I just started spiderrigging and want to run a couple minnow rigs. Didn't know if there was a hook out there a little better for setting the hook.

Have caught many tens of thousands of fish on them. Don't see any reason to change.

Gamakatsu is one of the Sharpest if not the sharpest hooks made. Very strong as well. Well worth the money in my opinion.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

Eagle claw gold Aberdeen in size 1. I use both the snelled and loose packs depending on the rig I am using. I don't see any reason to change at this point, they're cheap and work well.

#2 for me also. I like the gold litewire in the brush that I fish.
