I wear dark gray ones when the sun is really bright, but my favorite is amber. Outstanding clarity.
l'VE BEEN TOLD THAT GREY IS BEST FOR FISHING, BUT I'VE ALWAYS WORE THE DARK COLOR, NOW GETTING NEW GLASSES AND WHAT COLOR IS BEST

Yes, I fish like a girl. If you tried a little harder, you could too!!
I think it depends. I saw KVD talking about this on one of the bass shows. He had several different color lenses in the boat with him at all times. He swapped out pairs as conditions changed.
From what I've heard and read, amber is suppose to be the best for your eyes/vision. I do not own any, however. I make due with dark lenses.
Amber, but this is like asking what is the best truck.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
buy the cheaper ones, the good ones seem to like to swim . never had a pair come back either .
My wife has been in the optical business for 25 years. I get by with 2 colors in polarized lenses. I have the Costa Blue Mirror for sunny days and and Maui HT pair of Maui Jim's for overcast and early and late in the day. You can go to either the Maui Jim website or Costa website and they have real good info on the lens colors.
You can adopt this info to other brands and price points.
I have the costa 580 glass lens in green mirror and they are by far the best glasses I have had. The clarity and what you can see with them both on land and on water will amaze you. They are polarized and try them on in store but save your self a hundred bucks or so and buy the ones you like on eBay. Just my 2 cents
The few times I got out this summer, I wore a Welding Helmet...

For the money, I like the amber ones I find at Academy Sports with 2.0 bi-focals for tying lures. 22 bucks I think.
