Default Hot bream action on Guntersville

First of all I know there is a section for bream, but I know some people dont read it thats why I'm posting this here. I just wanted to let the people who live in Northeast Alabama or those who might be traveling here know the action is good for the gills and shellcracker right now. We have kept well over 200 gills on the last three trips. We caught some on squirrel tails and keystone minnows, but most of them were caught on crickets. we also caught some nice bass, I will include a picture of the small bass because I didnt have the camera when we caught the bigger ones. I will also post a picture of some of the bream and what they look like prepared for a meal. If you havent eaten any bluegill, you sure dont know what your missing.

They are anywhere from 3 feet down to a little less than a foot. We caught some right against the bank in water that couldnt have been even a foot deep. They bed so close to the bank sometimes that a big boat wake will wash them plum up on the bank. You talk about a great fight. We were using little zebco 33's and they were taking drag with it being set at the tightest position.
