I purchased a Tohatsu 4-stroke 20 hp from the Cookeville, TN plant last year. They had the best sale price I could find at the time along with free shipping. I have been very happy with the motor.

I have been told the same thing. I have a 2000 model 25 Hp Merc and wondered if it was made by Tohatsu. Do you know where the cutoff is between a Tohatsu made Merc vs a "real" Merc?Originally Posted by bfish
Whoever made mine did a good job. It has been running like a champ since 2000. Pushes a 16.5 Bass Tracker at 23 MPH which is pretty good considering the weight of the boat.
