Default Spider Rigging with Mr Crappie Hooks ??

Does anyone spider rig using the Mr Crappie code red hooks?? I like the hook and it seems real sharp. I was just wondering if the offset hook shank would cause the minnow to spin or not track straight on a slow troll.
Thanks dad for teaching me to love crappie fishing!!

I've used the black nickel ones. and love them. Getting ready to order more. I assume the red ones are the same. I like the fact if you get hung up they just straighten out just reshape and keep going.

I figured they would work. The only reason I was curious was I noticed the mustad slow death hooks had an offset shank and state that the bait will roll. Thanks for the input.

One more question, I haven't seen anyplace to buy the Mr Crappie hooks in lots bigger than the 22 in the packages. Can this be done, either 500 or 1000 hooks?

Do the bent hooks catch any better for you? Have you looked at MEATGETTER's Minner Critters for trolling minnows?

I and alot of other spider riggers use Eagle Claw 214EL #2. The EL means they are extra light wire and they will pull out of any structure. You can buy them in 50ct 100ct and I buy the 1000ct boxes from Grizzly Jig.
