I use super glue on 90 % of my plastics, I tie jigs also and was taught a little different way than most, I use super glue on 100% of my tied jigs dont think it affects my catch at all

With, on a tube and without on a solid.

    Hey crappiepappy,

Put that superglue on the tail and hurry up and cast it out there! Might get those Bluegill then!Rofl

All I use is large tube baits. I mash the barb down and trim any burrs on unpainted heads and push inside from rear of tube then pop hook eye through.

If they'd been big enough to fool with, I'd have caught them on the jig Rofl
But, seriously though ... it does remind me of the "ol trick" of using a strip of velcro to tip a hook with --- supposed to get snarled in the fish's "teeth"

With a barb, solid body jigs, with a drop of super glue.
Jigs never come off or move

We have something called 'barfish' (yellow bass) that will peck, peck, peck at your jigs, tear them up as well as pull them down - as well as bream and small crappie.
    My jigs don't move.

On bigger jigs and jigheads, don't need barbs, cause the bend in the hook holds them on.

This style/brand/bottle of super glue has these little buttons on the side, so you can get one tiny drop on your jig head (and not goop it everywhere) if you are interested.

I have heard of using nylon rope to catch their teeth, but that was for gar. :p

Yeah, Tex .... that's the glue that I used, too !! SuperGlue Gel

Went to using that, instead of the little tubes ... greater control over the size of "drop" that came out, and the tubes dried up if not completely used up within a month.

Still satisfied with not having to glue my baits, so I'll stick with barbed jigheads & solid plastics. But, yeah .. if I was going to glue them, that gel is all I'd use.
