    Default IGFA World Records...

As a member of the IGFA I am able to access there data bank, and these are the All Tackle World Records recognized by the IGFA.

All tackle white crappie 5bls 3ozs. caught in Mississippi.

All tackle black crappie was tied at 4lbs 8ozs caught in Virginia and Nebraska.

All tackle bluegill or bream 4lbs 12ozs caught in Alabama.

All tackle shellcracker or redear 5lbs 4ozs caught in the Diversion Canal at Santee Lakes, SC.

All tackle redbreast 1lb 12ozs caught in Florida.

All tackle pumpkinseed is 1lb 6ozs caught in Mexico, NY.

All though the IGFA World Record pumpkinseed is 1lb 6oz, the South Carolina state record is 2lbs 4ozs. Also, New Jersey state record is 1bl 8ozs and the New York record is 1lb 9ozs. These fish were never registered with the IGFA and are not recognized.

What fish do you want to know the record on?

Stump, thanks for the info. The discrepancies between state and IGFA is usually the result of much stricter requirements by the IGFA and the ability to obtain the IGFA info on records. This is espescially true for line class records. Usually, only the most ardent record seekers bother with the IGFA requirements. I'm more impressed with the state records. Here are mine. How does your state stack up!

    California Panfish Records

    White Crappie 4lb. 8oz.
    Black Crappie 4lb. 1oz.
    Bluegill 3lb. 8oz.
    Redear 5lb. 3oz.
    Pumpkinseed 1lb.
    Green Sunfish 1lb. 12oz.
    Warmouth 15oz.
    Sacramento
    Perch 3lb. 10oz.
    White Bass 5lb 5oz.

    Default 2lb line class?

    Stump,

I think the lowest line class is 2.2lbs, what size bluegill and shellcrackers exist in that line class? Thanks in advance for the info.

Impressive Bluegill! A Sacramento perch is a crappie like fish indigenous only to California.

Default Well there goes my spring..

The bluegill would be tough to beat on 2lb without getting broke off in weeds or wood. That shellcracker record could realistically be beat on KY lake. Thanks for the info. stumpbumpers.

And I believe only Ande and Maxima still make a IGFA 2# line. All regular manufactures 2# line far exceeds the IGFA rating. Dave.
