Power Pro vs Stealth

Curious to know if anyone has any experience with the Spiderwire Stealth line and how it compares to the Power Pro. I have the Power Pro 8/1 Yellow. Was in WM and they had the Stealth in the 8/1.5 Yellow, so I decided to grab it and see how it compares to the PP.

Curious to know if anyone has any experience with the Spiderwire Stealth line and how it compares to the Power Pro. I have the Power Pro 8/1 Yellow. Was in WM and they had the Stealth in the 8/1.5 Yellow, so I decided to grab it and see how it compares to the PP.

It shouldn't be too much different, since they're both made from Spectra fibers. Spiderwire may be more of an oval shape, where PowerPro is more of a round shape (like mono). That may account for the slight difference in pound test diameter (1 vs 1.5).
And by all means - do give us a first hand account of any +/- properties of both, when you get your comparisons done. ........... luck2ya ...cp

I've changed over to Stealth exclusively over the last 2 years, I like the 10/2 for all my jigging poles, and in clear water I tie a 3ft flourocarbon leader on the stealth. Doesn't seem to make much difference either way, but at least I feel I've taken care of the visibility aspect. I like the "no stretch" and
"no memory" of Stealth, and the 10lb strength of a line that's a 2lb diameter. Another quality I like is that it lasts for several years without changing line due to brittleness or rot that monofiliment gets after long days of fishing. Just my opinion, but it's a good line.
