Looked at those myself. With such a small spool, you would need to be careful of your line choice to keep it from popping off. Small diameter mono (<6 lbs.) or braid would be best IMHO.
Has anyone tried the new MicroLite from Bass Pro yet. I'm thinking of buying one.

I agree with Hooked. I also don't have the biggest hands but feeling for that handle while watching a bobber might be a little problem too.Originally Posted by HOOKED

I was going to put it on a Wally Marshall Pro series 10' rod. I was told that because of the small size of the eyes that it was hard to cast with a normal size spinning reel. Is that the case?

I have two of them on 10' Crappie Wizzard rods I too have very big hands but it still works good.
No experience3 with the micro lite reels but you might also look at the Mitchell UL500G's. They run about $20 and seem to be pretty good reels for the money. I've been using a couple of these this year and so far I'm satisfied with them. I'm also using small Quantum spinning reels but like the Mitchells better.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Another vote for the Mitchell Avocet UL500. So far seem to be great reels for the money. The gold is somewhat more $'s than the silver. Anyone using the new Mitchell 300 series? My first spinning reel and only ones were the Mitchell 300. Then I went to the Cardinal's which I thought were and are great reels, was also wondering about the new ones.
