Hey Nimrod thank you so much for such an uplifting thread. I used to fish the Crappiethon USA tourneys a long time ago. While fishing a tourney down on the Harris Chain of lakes in mid Florida an older couple had some very bad luck. We were eating at a resturant across the street from the motel and when we returned the older couple found that a few boats had been vnadalized. They checked their boat and all of their rods and reels and tackle had been stolen. They were registered to fish in the tourney and now someone had stolen everything out of their boat. A group of us that also had registered for the tourney got together and gave this older couple everything they needed to fish the tourney the next day.

People, it doesn't take much to show a little kindness everyday cause you will be blessed.

Respect and kindness, is what the world is short of today. Dont get me wrong there are a few of us out there still. I am all the time giving jigs away to people, lol I couldnt tell you how many jigs i give kids to just to see them catch fish. I even make up little tackle boxes with a small assortment for kids..Every since losing my son when i see kids with so little stuff, or in line at walmart hearing a mom or dad tell a child put it back i dont have the money...Some how a dollar or 2 is found at there feet so they can get that candy bar or m&ms..A kid smiling or helping our elderly is what makes me feel good. Once a week i hang out at our local nursing home, and listen to lies and swap stories from our old vets. In the past 5 years since i got divorced I havent spent a thanksgiving or christmas day with my family, its spent at either a soup kitchen, or somewhere helping. Its just me thats how i was raised...

Great stories NIMROD, Skeetbum, and PBUG2009. I just set down and really read all the posts here. My Father-in-Law just passed a couple weeks ago and I find myself wishing I had went out on the lake with him more instead of just taking two boats. I've given a few fish away at the ramp here and there because I didn't have enough to clean but that's an awesome jesture to give half or all of your catch to those fishermen less fortunate.
Thanks for the good articles and I'll start paying more attention at the ramps and the fish cleaning stations.

    Good job guys!
