Tracker Tundra/ 150 Optimax steering "alignment"

My new (to me) Tundra with 150 Optimax pulls hard to the right when running down the lake. The steering wheel is not straight when running straight down the lake either. Is there a way to adjust the alignment on these?

Adjust the trim tab located just above the prop. Move it right or left to offset the pull. Tools required.

Boat loading will affect steering pull to some extent. Get the trim set correctly before fooling with linkage.

Agree, trim tab. However, I'll add that once you move it, be very careful while testing. Making a bad adjustment could result in unexpected steering response. Not that big of a deal, but anytime you're adjusting the steering on a boat with that much horsepower, care should be exercised during the testing until you learn to "trust" the boat again.

Move the trim tab a little bit at a time to the RIGHT until the pull is gone. You are compensating for the torque of the prop.

Mine pulls a little to the right, but it's because I need to lose some weight!

After thinking about it, it's not the trim tab you're adjusting, It's the torque tab.

Had to adjust on mine several times on a Stratos I had. Weird thing was, the torque and direction of pull would change according to speed and trim angle. Finally decided on the position that would be basically neutral at WOT, which is where I really liked to run it anywho. As I would go from a rolling start, initial torque was to the right, then would gradually shift to neutral at about 3500 rpms, then to the left slightly until about 4500 then would settle to slight right or neutral depending on conditions.

Each boat and motor will be slightly different, so your experience will be somewhat different.
