rnvinc....I got my 214EL from Grizzly Jigs..if that helps you.
Anyone know (or have a link) to explain what the letter designations mean on Eagle Claw hooks...??
I went to several different stores yesterday looking for Eagle Claw 214EL hooks...with no luck....
I know the EL stands for "Extra Light" but there were none at any of the stores I searched....
Everything I saw had a designation of an "a" or "r" and even an "ra"....but no "EL"....

You could always check with Capt Hooks Captain Hook's Discount Warehouse
The above link is for the regular 214's, email them about the 214EL - many times they don't have everything listed.
With their discounts on quantity it's worth checking.

Thanks for the replies....I finally found some at a local bait store that buys them by the thousand and then he repackages them for sale by the hundred...
But I'm still trying to figure out what's the difference in a 214... 214EL...a 214ELA....a 214R....a 214A...and a 214RA...
I guess I could take a micrometer with me and measure the wire thickness but that still doesn't tell me what those letter designations actually mean.....

I have never heard of those designations....makes me curious.
"A" & "RA" is the package they are in.
