    Default Bad day

Went looking for some slabs with a friend and after a 45 minute car ride and a 30 minute boat ride tragedy struck. Dropped trolling motor overboard and started moving slowly. I thought I bumped a stump so I let boat drift back away from it the tried moving again. Again it seemed like the prop was still striking the stump. I then lifted the troll motor to get away from the stump and saw this.

    Better Day,
While looking for prices for new TM I saw a suggestion for trolling motors parts. Since only the nose cone was broken I wondered if I could only replace it and be done. When I clicked on the suggested link it took me to a site called "trolling motor parts". There I was able to purchase the whole lower motor for $109 as compared to $500 for a complete system. So just a heads up to anyone needing parts to repair "ANY" TM check them out. BTW I have no affiliation or interest in the company and I'm only passing this on for he benefit of fellow boaters.

ps: the motor fit perfect and we're back on the water.

Shame you had bad luck. Hope you get it fixed soon and get to chase some Slabs.

Must be an epidemic!! My friends went to fish near Buras, and the steering cable broke. I went fishing close to home and my outboard won’t charge my battery. I did catch 5 small crappie. One on a jig that I tied.
Be sure you learn how to seal that trolling motor well!
