Default Bayou Lacombe Friday Da 13th 2023. Ice Fishing on Da Bayou

Launched late 10:30 due to frigid weather and 15 to 20 mph winds. Air temp 43 F, water temp 56 F, water falling hard and low as Ive seen it on Da Bayou for months. Wife said I was nuts for going on the water due to wind and cold. Thought she was right until that first 11 incher hit my jig hard and messed up the song I was whistling with my 10 ft jigging rod in the brisk 25 mph breeze. Ended up keeping 9 for the grease and released about as many smaller ones. All caught on black and chartreuse jig almost on the bottom at 10 to 12 foot.

Bon Temps on Da Bayou on a Very Cold and Windy Day!!!!

That's what I'm talking about, a man who fishes like He's mad at the Crappie. You got it real bad my friend. Remedy - Fish that way everyday! You may get tired and slow down after 10-15 years.

Nice catch and it seems like they are on the same pattern here, 10-11 feet down in 12 fow. Thanks for sharing.
