    Default Henderson 1-6

Got to the launch about 10AM. Fished between the i-10 pilings, not far from the launch.

Caught one black crappie...about 12-13 inches.

Slip bobber rig, 5 feet deep, black head, sparkle chartreuse tail tube jig.

Fished north bigeuex, and all the way back without another bite. 6-7 other guys at boat launch either caught 1-2 fish or nothing.

I'm a kayak guy, so I'm limited to about 1-2 miles from the launch. Plus, I'm pretty terrible at catching sacalait, and am trying to learn how.

Oh, forgot to mention:. When I cleaned it, it had been eating a bunch of leeches. They were about 2.5 inches long.

Guess the muddy water meant they can't be too picky.

If you caught one that removed you from the terrible category. Nice catch

Okay..so I graduated from terrible to "still bad" lol

I fished for 3hrs for that one fish. I see people pulling em no matter the conditions...I just can't seem to figure em out

Sacalait are a bit weird but the good news is their brain is small.. there is no substitute for time on the water….you’ll be catching 2-3 fish in 3 hours in no time.

I'm hoping to get it nailed down before next month. I'm adept at bass and bream fishing, but strictly going after sacalait is new to me.

I know everyone uses LiveScope to limit out all the time, but I'm kinda old school, and stick to a small 2D sonar on my kayak.
