I'm sure there are exceptions but when the river and pelba gauge are rising, it's tough fishing anywhere in the basin.

That's true. Thankfully hunting has been keeping my interest. I'm not even sure where I could go and catch a decent mess of sacalait right now, within short distance of Lafayette, anyway. I had a couple of decent trips in Whiskey Bay before the rise but then had a couple of 3/4 fish trips once it started rising.

Actually it started falling 12/30/22 at 9:00 AM when it was 14.26 ft. It is now 13.5 ft.
    I'm being picky. LOL

7.97 and rising. Crest at 12.5 on the 17th, then a slooooooow fall after that.

Still at just over 11 feet on the 23rd.
