    Default Return to Louie

Finally made a return trip to Louie I’ve had starter problems with my old Evinrude. Got a new starter and solenoid online and got it all back together. Cranked right up and ran well. Water at Louie is still low but I managed to get in and out without incident. Had to go on a diagonal on the ramp at the rocks. Hit several spots that usually produce and only caught a couple of tiny crappie. Moved to Lovelace Lake, and found the problem. Major shad migration/spawn!! In some areas half of the surface of the water was covered with shad!! Hard to compete with that!!

Still. It was a great day!! My boat starts, and runs well!!

Lots to be thankful for today!!

Glad your boat ran well. I'm out of commission until later this week when my foot control module comes in. Fished a bass tournament in the rain at the end of October and foot pedal box was stopped up and didn't drain. Water corroded every connection under foot pedal. Had to put new ends on every wire and replace control module. Hopefully be back on the water soon.

Go fish it sounds like you need to drill a drain hole in the bottom of the well.
