    Default Indian Creek - 9/17/22

I mostly went to see if any fish had moved up to the grass edges. Zeroed on that technique. So I tried some deep water structure and that was no good either. I then looked for lay downs in the creeks and found two with fish. Landed 14 and missed almost as many. Wish I could come up with a good stinger hook idea for jigs. All on gray ghost . All looked like the one below.

At the two lakes I fish the most, I rarely catch small ones. They are 100% black though. At Cotile where there are whites, I do catch small ones. I often wonder where all the small fish live at Indian Creek and Kincaid. I often wish there were single pole tournaments here. I feel like I could win one at one spot at Kincaid. For whatever reason, every fish there is over 14". I have caught a couple of 16s.

Good catch. Could it be that both lakes are under fished for Crappie?

I am not qualified to answer, but I will say I only see people catching them in the Spring.

I fished Indian Creek once with a buddy of mine a couple years ago. We only caught 3 but they were big blacks. I was very impressed with the size. I need to go back again.

Yeah, there are no whites at either lake. I have to go to Cotile to catch those. I really need to try Cleco, but I do not like muddy water.
