After an assortment of failures, I made it back to Louie today.
First big motor wouldn’t start. Found a starter for it online. Installed and found out why the starter never worked well. Loose ground wire!!
Antique Motor Guide Great White died. Got a Minn Kota Riptide!! Only took 2 weeks to get mounting bolts from Bass Pro!! Then Covid!! Fortunately I didn’t die!! Got an antiviral from doctor that really helped!! Then yesterday it rained all day!!
So today I quietly went to Louie. First few spots in the creek, nothing!! Moved to the lake and started catching some fish. Spotted some hanging around scattered brush and put a shiner in their face. Bingo!! Caught a few nice fish and some smaller ones. Kept 5 for supper and headed home.
It’s great to be back in the saddle again!!

Have been thinking about Louie, 8/24 last year me and Short Line "Charline" had one of our best trips to Louie with 46 big keepers on crankbaits. The most memorable part was having 5 poles bent at one time, we ran the Terrova up to 10 to get them surfing and seperated and put all 5 in the icechest. Glad to here you doing better and got everything working again.

It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.
