    Default Live at Louie

Back to Louie for another learning Livescope session. Big motor ran great, trolling motor only 24 volt hi! Not very sneaky. Fished my usual spots with 2 fish to show for my effort. Started looking for new stumps and lay downs. They are easy to find on Livescope. Started catching more and bigger fish. Then trolling motor died dead.
I headed for Lovelace Lake and drifted some flats that have some stumps. Started seeing fish so I put my shiner just above the fish and he ate the shiner. Caught several nice crappie like that. It was neat watching them hit the shiner!
Ended up with a little better mess of fish than usual. Name: 54FEB882-A194-4C37-B460-C6BC384779DB.jpg

Some nice ones, time to break out one of those 2 grand bills and get you something with spot lock.

I think I’m going to get Minn Kota Riptide Fortrex. Just hand operated. It’s very quiet, and hopefully will hold up to being abused in freshwater as well as saltwater. If anyone has a strong opinion either way, please let me know.
    Call me tomorrow please Skippa.

I made some crappie croquettes today. First time for that. Boiled filets in seasoned water, let cool, then flake, mix with diced onions, bell pepper, and celery. Mix together with two eggs. Season with Tony Chachere’s etc. Fry in oil of your choice. I used coconut oil. Turned out really good!!Name: 95B4A869-4709-4850-A46B-FDCC6FAC7A0A.jpg

How long do you boil? I’m already up to try something new.
