    Yeah, seems that every now and then you get a jig head where the eye isn't completely closed. Not sure if the loop helps with presentation but I find it super quick to tie and holds pretty well so I stick with that.

    With my eyesight these days, the Palomar is easier! lol

    That’s because quality control of hooks has gone bad. I even have some top dollar mustads I get where batches eyes aren’t completely shut. This is a nightmare for braid users that use loop knot. I didn’t have near the problems back then with this as I do now.

    Completely agree! I absolutely refuse to use a loop knot on braid.
